What is Cub Scouts?

The goal of the Cub Scout program is to provide ready-made opportunities for families to enjoy fun activities together. When you and your child first join Cub Scouts you become part of a group with children in the same grade, this small group is called a den.

Each grade level den has an animal or emblem associated with it, this is called a rank. (K=Lion, 1st=Tiger, 2nd=Wolf, 3rd=Bear, 4th=Webelos & 5th=Arrow of Light)

Cub Scouts work in their dens and at home on activities that are in their handbooks.  These activities are grouped together by subject and are called adventures.  After a number of required adventures and elective adventures are completed a Cub Scout earns the rank associated with their grade. Cub Scouts earn their rank in May after completing the required adventures and the Pack 236 scouting year.

Committee Meetings

All parents are welcome to attend monthly committee meetings.  Committee meetings are generally held the second Tuesday of the month, both in person and on Zoom. At the committee meetings, we work together to budget and finalize/communicate program plans.
